Hypertension or high blood pressure is also known as a silent killer as it doesn’t show any clear symptoms. Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of arteries as it flows through them. In hypertension the blood pressure remains abnormally high. Some of the common causes for hypertension are- obesity, stress, smoking, poor diet high in salt and junk food etc. Hypertension increases the risk of developing heart disease, kidney disease, stroke etc.
